Niinkuin mainitsin, otimme Tampereen matkalla kyytiin liftarin.
Kuulostaa vaarallisen pelottavalta, jossain tapauksissa ehkä onkin,
tällä kertaa ei lainkaan. Nuori portugalilainen mies oli hyvin inspiroiva,
avoin ja puhelias. Ja ihan kuin tapaamisellamme oli jokin tarkoitus. Hän
unohti käsineensä autoomme. Matkallamme kuitenkin juttelimme hänen
matkantarkoituksesta meidän kotikaupunkiimme ja tiesimme hänen
menevän yhdelle keikalle paikalliseen pubiin. Illalla myöhään mieheni
vei hänen hanskat kyseiseen baariin ja sai aikaisekseen melkoisesti
ihmetystä, ison kiitoksen ja lämpimän halauksen. Oli mukavaa toimia
mukavasti ja varsinkin kun sitä ei meiltä enää odotettu mitenkään.

Kyseinen matkalainen on aktiivinen couch surfer. Olen ollut tietoinen
kyseisestä tavasta matkailla jo vuosia. Periaatteessa jollain tasolla sitä
tehnytkin, vain ilman mitään nettisivuja, vaan löytänyt matkallani
majapaikan vain kohtaamalla paikallisia ja ihmisten kanssa puhumalla.
Erinomainen tapa. Ainutlaatuinen tapa. Ikinä ei teidä, mitä edessä odotaa.
Hullukin tapa? Ehkä, mutta mun kokemukset ehdottomasti positiivisia.
Tämän matkalaisen tapaaminen sai lopulta meidät liittymään couch
surfing porukkaan! Teimme profiilin ja yritämme parhaamme
mukaan aktivoitua. Ja saada pian mahdollisia vieraita ja vierailla itsekin!

ainut uusi, jolle se lähetetty..tai sitten olen.. Mutta insiproiva se oli.

Welcome to the Couchsurfing (CS) Community! We would
like to tell you a few words about our experience with
CS, which was great. We are the family of three - Magda
and Mariusz with our baby-son Max. We surfed and hosted
numerous times on six continents and every single time
was unique, special and unforgettable. Couchsurfing is
about getting to know new people. It is also about
tollerance, openess and sharing. It enables you to find
out more about different cultures and sometimes about a
different way of living. If you are on the road there
is nothing better than a local waiting for you at their
home. It makes you feel welcome. It also gives you a
very special opportunity to see with your own eyes what
the real life in the place of your visit is like. There
is no better guide than the local one. If you are a
host you can "widen your horizonts" without leaving
home simply by inviting guests over. In our opinion
these are the most important benefits of couchsurfing.
There is one more - it makes you believe in people (in
their kindness and good heart).

We wish that you will feel the same way soon!

Now a few practical tips about getting involved in the
CS Community.

The first and most important thing is to fill in your
profile. We strongly recommend that you take your time
and do it with diligence because this is the only way
that other couchsurfers can get to know you before they
decide to host you or to visit you. CS is based on
trust and respect so, please, be honest and responsible
- always write the truth. This way you will make it
more likely to meet through CS such people whose
company you enjoy. Security issues are very important
